Mumbai, August 14, 2020: Ahead of India’s 74th Independence Day, AirAsia India has announced the RedPass initiative for the armed forces in recognition of their contribution as the strongest pillar of the nation, supporting democracy and security. In keeping with the long-standing commitment to nation-building, AirAsia India will offer 50,000 seats on flights on the domestic network as part of the initiative. Vistara Adds Airbus A321neo in Its Fleet Operations

Airbus A321neo Aircraft from Airbus' final assembly lines in Hamburg, Germany arrives in New Delhi today to join Vistara aircraft fleet. The aircraft is the first of six A321neo for the airline, on lease by Air Lease Corporation and part of the 50 A320neo Family aircraft order signed in 2018. Airbus321 neo Overall, Vistara’s A321neo features a three-class layout with 12 seats in business class, 24 in premium economy and 152 in economy class. AirAsia India operates ‘Umeed Ki Udaan’ Charter to Fly 566 Seafarers from Mumbai to Kolkata, Imphal, New Delhi and Dehradun

Mumbai: AirAsia India’s ‘Umeed Ki Udaan’ initiative, launched to assiststranded migrant communities, took off with its 23rd chartered flight in less than a month since airlines in India recommenced commercial operations. The airline today flew over 566 seafarers from Mumbai to Kolkata, Imphal, New Delhi and Dehradun. AirAsia India has now operated charter flights supported by alumni of the National Law School, actor Sonu Sood, State Governments, private bodies and individuals, in keeping with its brand ethos ‘Now Everyone Can Fly’. This has allowed SIA to refine the travel experience based on the advice of medical experts, regulators and partners, as well as feedback from its customers.
