A Chinese national, identified as Qian Zhimin, has been sentenced to 11 years and eight months in jail by a London judge following an investigation into a multibillion-dollar investment fraud. Qian Zhimin evaded arrest in China, utilizing a series of travel routes through Southeast Asia and Europe, ultimately settling in the United Kingdom under a false identity – Yadi Zhang. Authorities apprehended her as part of a significant bitcoin seizure orchestrated by British police. The seizure values the digital currency at approximately US$6.4 billion. The investigation revealed a complex scheme involving fraudulent transactions and the acquisition of significant bitcoin holdings.
