Renowned Hong Kong filmmaker Peter Chan Ho-sun was transported to a local hospital following a vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred while the 62-year-old director was driving his Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV on Island Road in Deep Water Bay, heading towards Stanley. According to police reports, Chan reportedly swerved to avoid a canine appearing unexpectedly near the roadway. The impact resulted in minor damage to the vehicle’s side panels. Chan received treatment for minor injuries and is currently receiving medical attention. The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the sudden maneuver.
