Hero MotoCorp Named Title Sponsor for SJFI National Convention 2026

Hero MotoCorp has been announced as the title sponsor for the Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI) National Convention 2026, which will be held in New Delhi from March 13 to 16. The event marks the Golden Jubilee edition of the convention, celebrating 50 years of the federation.

The convention is being hosted by the Delhi Sports Journalists Association (DSJA) and will bring together sports journalists, administrators, athletes and industry stakeholders from across the country. It is the first time in more than two decades that the event is being held in the national capital.

According to organizers, the four-day program will include a sports conclave featuring sports administrators and former athletes, along with sporting competitions and networking sessions for media professionals. Events scheduled during the convention include the JK Bose Inter-Zonal T20 Cricket Tournament, the AC Bali Table Tennis Tournament, as well as basketball, futsal and golf putting competitions. Engagement activities such as the Modern Pythian Games and a Red Bull gaming station are also planned.

The convention has attracted support from 23 partner organizations in addition to Hero MotoCorp. These include SONY Sports Network, TCM Sports, Punjab Kings, Red Bull, Delhi Capitals, DDCA and Jindal Steel, among others. The event has also received backing from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Indian Olympic Association and the International Sports Press Association.

Sabi Hussain, Secretary of the DSJA, said the event will provide a platform for dialogue between the sports, media and corporate sectors.

The SJFI National Convention is an annual gathering of sports journalists and industry representatives and is affiliated with the International Sports Press Association (AIPS). The 2026 edition commemorates five decades of the federation’s role in India’s sports media landscape. 🏅📰
