Huawei Technologies has announced that its Ascend-powered CloudMatrix platform has achieved the top position in the annual ranking of Shenzhen-based company’s latest inventions. The CloudMatrix 384, initially conceived as a specialized AI supernode, is now described as an advanced data centre architecture leveraging Huawei’s Ascend chips. SiliconFlow, a Chinese artificial intelligence infrastructure startup, presented the system as a purpose-built solution for handling extensive AI computations. The platform’s design incorporates neural network technology and is intended to facilitate rapid AI processing. The CloudMatrix 384 represents a significant advancement in Huawei’s data infrastructure capabilities.
