Malaysian media and timber tycoon Tiong Hiew King, aged 91, has passed away on Tuesday. His death was announced by Media Chinese International, the entity that owns the Hong Kong-based daily Ming Pao. The company stated that Tan Sri Datuk Sir Tiong Hiew King was a significant shareholder and honorary chairman of the company. Details regarding the cause of death were not immediately available. The board of directors confirmed the passing of the prominent figure, citing sadness and respect for his legacy within the media industry and Southeast Asian business sectors.
