The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated legal action seeking Governor’s intervention in a land dispute involving the Malayalam University in Kerala, India. The party alleges that the land was purchased for a price of ₹4,000 to ₹7,000 per cent, and subsequently transferred to the government for ₹1.7 lakh per cent. The alleged scam involves former Higher Education Minister K.T. Jaleel. The BJP asserts that the land was acquired through fraudulent means and intends to recover the original cost. This action comes amidst ongoing concerns regarding the university’s finances and governance.
