Canada Announces Halt on Traditional Door-to-Door Mail Delivery

Canada Post has announced a policy change concerning the delivery of physical mail to residential addresses. Effective immediately, the postal service will discontinue its traditional door-to-door mail delivery service within designated areas. This decision follows a review of operational efficiencies and cost analysis. Vehicles operated by postal personnel will be primarily utilized for package delivery, shifting focus to faster and more efficient methods. The change will affect approximately 250,000 residential addresses across Ontario. Canada Post plans to continue offering mail for delivery through post offices and designated drop-off locations.
