New Delhi — Durlabh Darshan, a platform developed by TechXR Innovations, is expanding its presence in Delhi NCR with technology designed to provide immersive virtual temple experiences. The initiative aims to address crowding at major shrines, where brief viewing times often limit devotees’ access to rituals.
According to the company, more than 150 crore devotees visit major Indian shrines annually, leading to what it describes as “one-second darshan” in high-traffic temples. Founder Prashant Mishra said the platform’s virtual reality system is intended to reduce distractions and create a more focused devotional environment. The company plans to expand from its flagship centre at ISKCON Delhi to more than 50 additional locations in 2026.
Durlabh Darshan operates over 15 physical immersive centres across six states and reports serving more than 10 lakh devotees to date. The centres use what the company calls patent-pending 6D multi-sensory technology to simulate temple rituals. Features include virtual abhishek with water droplets and fragrance effects, synchronized airflow, and immersive viewing of rituals such as Bhasm Aarti and Panch Aarti.
In addition to physical centres, the company offers a mobile application with more than 2 lakh active users. The app provides virtual access to over 50 religious destinations, 3D devotional content, and virtual ritual participation using smartphone-based VR headsets.
The platform has received endorsements from public figures and spiritual leaders, according to the company, as it continues its planned expansion in 2026.
