Even Healthcare raises $20 million for Bengaluru hospital expansion

Bengaluru — Even Healthcare has raised $20 million in fresh funding to expand its managed-care hospital network in Bengaluru, the company announced on Tuesday. The funding round was led by existing investors Lachy Groom and Alpha Wave, with participation from new investor Sharrp Ventures.

The latest fundraise brings the company’s total capital raised to $70 million and marks a doubling of its valuation in less than a year, according to the announcement. Even Healthcare said the new capital will be used to scale its hospital footprint in Bengaluru and strengthen its integrated managed-care model.

The company’s approach focuses on coordinated care across the patient journey, including early access through teleconsultations, diagnostics, hospitalisation when required, and structured recovery support at home. Even Healthcare said the model aims to improve patient outcomes while reducing avoidable complications and admissions.

Alongside the funding announcement, the company reported that its first hospital reached operating break-even within six months of launch. Even said this reflects alignment between clinical outcomes and financial sustainability through early intervention, continuity of care, and monitored recovery.

Mayank Banerjee, co-founder of Even Healthcare, said the milestone demonstrates that hospitals can prioritise patient recovery while remaining financially viable. Investor Lachy Groom said the company has shown that managed care can deliver strong clinical outcomes alongside early unit-level profitability.

The company also released early performance data from a tracked cohort across its care network, reporting no unplanned 30-day readmissions across more than 350 surgeries and no post-operative infections. According to the data, average hospital stays were at least 40% shorter than comparable settings, with more than 200 hospitalisations avoided through monitored at-home recovery.

Over the past year, Even Healthcare said it has expanded its operations in Bengaluru, launched its first hospital in May 2025, and reported high online revenue retention, reflecting continued growth in its managed-care model.
