Fifa has initiated criminal investigations in five countries – Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam – following FAM’s appeal against the use of forged documents by seven foreign-born footballers. The appeal, which initially sought to challenge the September sanctions levied against FAM and the individual players, was rejected by Fifa.
