Guangdong Province Shields From Super Typhoon Ragasa

Guangdong province experienced significant weather disruptions following the arrival of Super Typhoon Ragasa on Wednesday afternoon. Major cities, including Shenzhen, reported wind speeds exceeding 200 kilometers per hour (120 mph), a higher level than 2018’s Super Typhoon Mangkhut. Despite the high winds, the storm largely dissipated as it veered west, decreasing to approximately 145 kilometers per hour (89 mph) near the Yangjiang area. Local residents reported temporary power outages and water disruptions in affected regions. Authorities are monitoring the situation and assessing potential impacts on infrastructure and residents.
