Hong Kong Police Arrest Alleged Seditionists

Hong Kong’s National Security Police have issued arrest notices for two individuals, a 32-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, on Monday. The pair were apprehended at Kwai Chung Plaza, a shopping centre and residential estate located in the Kwai Tsing district. According to an insider, officers investigated social media posts they had published, which were deemed to contain seditious intent – meaning they threatened the government or its authority. The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into potential activities that could endanger national security. The authorities stated the individuals were charged with violating laws related to inciting unrest or undermining the government.
