On Friday, Kwun Tong Court convicted Senior Inspector Leung Yun-sing, 57, of nine weeks imprisonment and a fine of HK$6,000. The officer was found guilty of indecently assaulting a female junior colleague at Hung Hom Police Station on February 18th. The incident stemmed from Leung’s concern regarding the officer’s job performance. During the assault, he embraced the victim and patrolled her buttocks. The prosecution argued this behavior constituted an inappropriate and unlawful act of sexual assault. Leung was also found guilty of other related charges. This conviction follows a previous investigation into similar incidents within the Hong Kong police force.
