The Indonesian government’s “Bantuan Makanan” (Food Assistance) program, launched in January, has been linked to a significant increase in reported food poisoning cases this year. The program aims to combat malnutrition by providing free meals to vulnerable populations across the archipelago. According to an official statement, approximately half of reported cases have been attributed to the initiative.
