The Kerala Integrated Industrial and Infrastructure Development Board (KIIFB) has announced a plan to acquire approximately 7 hectares of land for the 22.56-kilometer stretch of the Kannur airport link road. This acquisition will encompass land currently occupied by 1,600 landowners within the region. The KIIFB intends to facilitate the relocation of these landowners to alternative locations, as part of a comprehensive land acquisition process. The estimated cost associated with this endeavor is ₹73.9 crore. The board anticipates this project will contribute to improved infrastructure development and logistical efficiency for the airport.
