BENGALURU: Badminton Association of India and Ryan International Academy hosted an interaction session with Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen at the academy’s Sarjapur campus on Sunday, the 28th December, 2025, as part of promotional activities for the Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2026.
According to the organizers, the session was designed to provide students with an opportunity to engage directly with the athlete and learn about the values associated with competitive sports. Sen interacted with students and shared experiences from his career, including insights into training routines, match preparation, mental focus, and balancing academics with sporting commitments.
During the event, Sen participated in on-court activities, including rallies and games, with students and badminton enthusiasts from Bengaluru. A question-and-answer segment allowed participants to seek guidance on pursuing sports professionally, handling competitive pressure, and maintaining discipline.
The programme saw participation from hundreds of students and badminton enthusiasts. The Badminton Association of India coordinated the event and selected the Sarjapur campus as the venue, citing its badminton facilities. School representatives said the session aligned with efforts to expose students to athletes who demonstrate resilience and commitment.
Vinod Sharma, chief operating officer at Ryan Edunation Pvt. Ltd., said the visit supported the institution’s focus on holistic education that balances academics and sports. Organizers said the interaction aimed to encourage students to apply principles such as consistency and perseverance in both education and extracurricular pursuits.
The event concluded with students describing the session as motivating and informative, organizers said.
