Sajid Nadiadwala, a prominent film producer, has announced his departure from the leadership position within the Indian Film & Television Producers Council (AMPTP/IFTPC). Ratan Jain, a long-time veteran of Bollywood production, has assumed the role, having held the position from 2010 to 2012. In his farewell address, Nadiadwala stated that the council required fresh leadership and nominated Jain, who was unanimously selected by the members. The council presented a commemorative gift, including a bouquet and a memento, acknowledging Jain’s significant contributions. Members applauded his leadership, although specific details regarding his accomplishments were not detailed. Jain’s background includes producing major hits such as Khiladi, Baazigar, Dhadkan, and Humraaz, demonstrating a consistent track record of successful film production. This marks a return after a previous leadership role, and the newly formed board includes Jamnadas Majethia as chairman, alongside directors NR Pachisia, Madhu Mantena, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Rajat Rawail, Shyamashis Bhattacharya, Nitin Vaidya, and Abhimanyu Singh. Ramesh Taurani will serve as an honorary advisor. The AMPTP/IFTPC now directs its efforts toward navigating changing streaming audience preferences and industry developments.
