Škoda Auto India Introduces Hypnosis Experience for Octavia RS Fans

MUMBAI — Škoda Auto India, in collaboration with BBH India, has launched “Mind Drive,” an experience that uses guided hypnosis to simulate driving the Škoda Octavia RS. The initiative is part of the company’s ongoing “Heartbreak” campaign.

According to the announcement, “Mind Drive” was developed after the Octavia RS sold out within 20 minutes of its launch, leaving many enthusiasts unable to reserve a car. Škoda Auto India and BBH India invited fans to participate in a session designed to recreate the sensations of driving the model through imagination.

The activity was created with hypnotherapist Danish Sheikh. Participants were guided through an audio experience intended to evoke the sound of the engine, the feeling of acceleration, and the movement of the road. The companies described the session as a way to provide an emotional connection for fans who were unable to drive or own the vehicle.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Škoda Auto India, said the response to the Octavia RS underscored the enthusiasm surrounding the model. He said the new initiative aimed to acknowledge that interest and offer another way to experience the car’s appeal.

Parikshit Bhattaccharya, Chief Creative Officer at BBH India, said the “Heartbreak” campaign created new avenues for engagement and that “Mind Drive” brings the Octavia RS experience to more fans.

“Mind Drive” extends earlier components of the campaign, which have included items developed for people who were unable to own or test-drive the Octavia RS.
