Sudanese Journalist Dies After Drone Strike

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has reported the death of Sudanese journalist Alnor Suleiman Alnor. The journalist was killed on Saturday following an October 3rd drone strike targeting his residence in El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group within Sudan, are suspected to be responsible for the attack. CPJ expressed concern over the incident, urging Sudanese authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The attack resulted in injuries to the journalist, though the precise cause of death remains under investigation.
