Tamil Nadu Government Focuses on Eradicating Exotic Species in Selected Villages

The Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu government to address the issue of invasive and exotic species in at least one district through a pilot program. Judges N. Sathish Kumar and D. Bharatha Chakravarthy have requested the government to develop a comprehensive plan to eliminate these species completely in a specific area. The initiative aims to assess the impact and implement strategies for long-term control and mitigation. The government intends to conduct a phased approach to achieve this goal.
