Tencent Holdings, a leading Chinese technology company, has entered into a strategic partnership with San Francisco-based startup, Cartesia. The collaboration focuses on developing next-generation voice artificial intelligence applications. Tencent Cloud, the company’s cloud unit, announced the partnership, detailing a collaborative effort to enhance AI speech capabilities. Cartesia has secured US$100 million in funding for its text-to-speech model, Sonic 3. The partnership will leverage Tencent Cloud’s global real-time communication infrastructure to accelerate development and deployment of these innovative voice technologies. The joint venture will focus on improving the accuracy and efficiency of voice processing.
