Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory has achieved a significant milestone, exceeding production targets last month. The factory delivered a total of 90,812 vehicles to customers in September, marking a record high for the period. This increase of 2.8% compared to the same month in 2024 reflects strong demand for the Model Y variant, a popular choice amongst affluent Chinese consumers. The facility, located within the Lingang free-trade zone near the Yangshan Deep-water Port, supports a substantial portion of Tesla’s global production capacity. The data indicates consistent growth and significant output from the Shanghai operation.
