Thousands Rescued Amidst Everest Blizzard, Hundreds Remain Behind

Approximately 350 trekkers have been successfully evacuated from the Everest region following a severe blizzard. The rescue operation, initiated on Wednesday, focused on assisting individuals who had become stranded due to the weather conditions. The majority of the rescued trekkers are currently being transported to China’s Qudang township for medical attention and shelter. Rescue efforts continue, but approximately 200 individuals remain stranded and awaiting assistance from authorities. Weather forecasts indicate continued hazardous conditions, potentially hindering further rescue operations.
