UKG Holds 8th Unity Run Across India, Flagged Off by Abhinav Bindra

Bengaluru: UKG hosted the 8th edition of its annual Unity Run in India, bringing together more than 1,500 participants, including employees, their families, and friends across three locations.

The event was flagged off by Olympic gold medalist and Padma Bhushan awardee Abhinav Bindra, joined by UKG Group Vice President and Country Manager Nitin Chandel. Their participation marked the start of a day centered on wellness and community engagement.

This year’s Unity Run also marked the first public unveiling of UKG’s refreshed branding and logo. According to the company, the new visual identity reflects its continued focus on innovation and people-centered growth in the HR, Pay, and Workforce Management sectors.

The event featured a series of pre-run fitness activities, including warm-up sessions, push-up and plank challenges. Competitive categories included 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer runs for men and women, along with a 5-kilometer non-competitive walkathon. To include employees from multiple locations, UKG organized a virtual run for staff in Pune and Bengaluru, who participated remotely and shared their track times with organizers.

Winners were presented with trophies by Bindra and members of UKG’s leadership team, while all participants received medals during a closing ceremony that concluded with a group lunch.

The Unity Run, now in its eighth year, aims to promote community connection, employee well-being, and inclusivity through shared physical activity, according to UKG.
