A Vietnamese woman, Nguyen Ngoc Giau, was sentenced to life imprisonment on Tuesday in Singapore’s Ang Mo Kio district following the conviction of murdering her boyfriend. The charge, brought on three occasions over the past four years, stemmed from an incident in a public housing block. Justice Dedar Singh Gill stated the prosecution had established sufficient evidence to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The prosecution argued that Giau acted in a violent and unlawful manner. The court found that Giau had failed to prove a reasonable defense to her actions. The sentence will be carried out in accordance with Singaporean law.
