A 18th-century portrait believed stolen by the Nazis was discovered online by Dutch journalists. The portrait was spotted on a property in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The couple residing at the villa, identified as Patricia Kadgien, a yoga teacher, were unaware of the painting’s history. The piece was a middle-aged couple who lived in a low, stone-clad villa in the Parque Luro district. The discovery occurred 80 years after the painting’s disappearance. The art was subsequently recovered and authenticated.
