A 41-year-old woman, Nurhaswani Afni Mohamad Zorki, has been formally charged in Malaysia with assault following an incident in August 31st. The charge stems from attempting to embrace the Sultan of Perak before Independence Day celebrations in Ipoh. Police reported the incident occurred at the Ipoh Town Hall. The woman was brought before Magistrate Mohd Harith Mohd Mazlan on Monday. She faces charges under Section 352 of the Penal Code, related to unauthorized physical contact with a royal figure. The charges include attempted assault and disturbing the peace.
