C.P. Radhakrishnan was elected President of the Buddhist Council today. The election follows the resignation of Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli. Nepal Army is expected to assume responsibility for security following Oli’s departure. The Council will oversee the government’s transition and continue its functions.
