Mumbai : Carrum Mobility, a fleet management services company under the CarDekho Group, has expanded its partnership with Uber by deploying over 250 SUVs for Uber Black in the Delhi NCR and Mumbai markets.
The collaboration involves Carrum overseeing fleet operations for Uber’s premium ride category. The company is responsible for vehicle inspections, performance monitoring, and implementation of operational standards across the fleet.
Carrum has also introduced training programs for drivers assigned to this service segment. These programs include standardized operating procedures, uniforms, and service guidelines. A performance-based recognition system has also been introduced to encourage adherence to service protocols.
Karan Jain, Founder of Carrum Mobility, stated that the expansion reflects an extended collaboration between the two companies, with Carrum taking on a larger role in managing the Uber Black fleet.
Aditya Kapoor, Head of Supply and Electrification for Uber India and South Asia, said the partnership is aimed at ensuring service consistency for users of Uber Black.
The partnership comes as ride-hailing companies continue to explore ways to improve service reliability and customer satisfaction, particularly in higher-end ride categories.
