MUMBAI: ACS Energy has secured ₹1.1 crore in a pre-seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures, according to the company. The Mumbai-based startup plans to use the funding to deploy more than 5,000 UPI-enabled EV charging stations across Maharashtra and Gujarat and to develop energy management systems for high-rise buildings.
Founded in 2022, ACS Energy focuses on EV charging infrastructure for residential towers and large housing complexes. The company offers chargers compatible with two-, three-, and four-wheelers and has introduced smart AC chargers supported by its UPI-based payment platform. Its system uses AI for load management and billing.
ACS Energy is led by Jash Sheth and Mihir Bhanushali. Sheth previously worked in India’s nuclear power sector and was part of founding teams at two startups. The company states that its goal is to simplify charging access in urban spaces and support more efficient power distribution.
Inflection Point Ventures co-founder Mitesh Shah said the company’s hardware-software setup is designed to make payments straightforward and support wider EV adoption. Sheth said the startup aims to make EV charging as simple as fuel payments while rolling out its AI-driven energy management offering.
ACS Energy is currently active in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kerala, and Surat and plans to scale in areas with rising EV usage. The release notes broader growth in India’s EV charging market, driven by electrification trends and government programs.
