GOA, India — Bandish Bandits Season Two received the Best Web Series (OTT) Award at the 56th International Film Festival of India, according to an announcement from Prime Video. The series, produced by Leo Media Collective Private Limited and created by Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari, was selected from a field that also included Prime Video’s Paatal Lok Season Two and Suzhal: The Vortex Season Two.
This marks Prime Video’s second win in the category since its introduction in 2023. The service previously received the award for Panchayat Season Two. This year’s award was presented by Sanjay Jaju, Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and L. Murugan, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs.
The jury was chaired by filmmaker and producer Bharatbala Ganapathy, with members R. Mahendran, Munjal Shroff, Rajeshwari Sachdev, and Sekhar Kumar Das.
Directed by Tiwari, the series continues the story of Radhe and Tamanna as they confront personal and professional pressures within the world of competitive music. Written by Tiwari, Atmika Didwania, and Karan Singh Tyagi, the season explores themes of ambition, legacy, individuality, and the intersection of classical and contemporary music. The cast includes Ritwik Bhowmik, Shreya Chaudhry, Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Divya Dutta, Rohan Gurbaxani, Yashaswini Dayama, Aaliyah Qureshi, and Saurabh Nayyar.
Season Two premiered on Prime Video on December 13, 2024, and was released in more than 240 countries and territories.
