Two children, a boy aged 12 and a girl aged seven, have been successfully treated for amoebic encephalitis in Kerala. The eight-year-old from Thamarassery succumbed to the infection on August 14. Medical professionals identified the infection as a rare strain of the amoeba *Naegleria Lebesgueii*. Treatment involved supportive care and medication, resulting in complete recovery for both children. The case highlights the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of this potentially serious condition.
