Court Upholds Election Affidavit Validity

The Bombay High Court has rejected Rajan Vichare’s appeal against Naresh Mhaske’s victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha election. The court ruled that Mhaske’s election affidavit was legally sufficient and that disclosing his conviction was not necessary. The High Court stated that Mhaske had not been convicted and that the affidavit presented was consistent with the electoral process. The decision does not affect the outcome of the election.
