An installation titled “Constellation of Complicity” at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center opened in July. The exhibition featured a series of multimedia installations exploring themes of cultural representation and political tension. Following the opening, Chinese authorities removed flags symbolizing Tibet and the Uyghur people from the space. The Bangkok Art and Culture Center has confirmed the removal as a response to concerns regarding the exhibition’s potential impact on Chinese cultural sensitivities. The curator has since resigned and is seeking alternative representation.
