Mumbai :Honeywell has launched an AI-powered building management platform, Honeywell Connected Solutions, which integrates software and technologies into a single interface aimed at supporting operational efficiency in buildings. The system is built on Honeywell Forge and is currently being used by early adopters including Verizon Communications Inc. and Vanderbilt University.

The platform allows building operators—including facility managers and multi-site operators—to access various Honeywell systems and devices through a centralized dashboard. According to the company, the solution provides real-time operational data and insights that can assist with maintenance, energy management, and system performance.

The system includes features such as remote monitoring, predictive maintenance alerts, and encryption for cybersecurity. Honeywell reports that its AI-based installation process can reduce the time and labor typically required for deploying building management systems.

Billal Hammoud, president and CEO of Honeywell’s Building Automation segment, said that the platform addresses multiple operational challenges, including aging infrastructure, skilled labor shortages, and evolving regulatory standards.

Verizon has begun using the platform in some of its facilities to detect potential issues before they develop into more serious problems. Vanderbilt University has implemented the system in nearly 10% of its campus buildings, citing goals to improve energy efficiency and system performance.

Alex Kohnen, chief facilities officer at Vanderbilt University, stated that the institution aims to use real-time data and AI insights to improve building operations for students, faculty, and staff.

The new platform is part of Honeywell’s broader strategy to connect digital tools in building infrastructure to optimize resource use and reduce downtime.
