Issuance of notice: HC issues contempt notice to three Assam officials over July eviction drive
The Gauhati High Court issued a contempt notice to the District Commissioner and the Additional District Commissioner (Revenue) of Dhubri district and the Circle Officer of Chapar Revenue Circle in Assam . The show cause notice came on a petition by 51 evicted residents who alleged that they were not issued individual notices before the drive .
