JioHotstar Sweeps 35+ Wins at 77th Emmy Awards

National: JioHotstar titles dominated the 77th Emmy® Awards with over 35 wins across categories, cementing its position as a leading destination for global entertainment in India. The platform had more than 200 nominations this year, spanning drama, comedy, limited series, and unscripted programming.

Among the biggest winners was The Penguin, which bagged nine awards, including Lead Actress in a Limited Series for Cristin Milioti, Outstanding Special Visual Effects, and Contemporary Makeup. The Pitt followed with five wins, highlighted by Best Drama Series, Noah Wyle’s Lead Actor award, and Katherine LaNasa’s Supporting Actress recognition.

Star Wars’ Andor secured five awards, including Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, while comedies also shone—Hacks picked up three wins, led by Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder, and Pee-Wee As Himself matched the tally with wins for directing, editing, and best non-fiction special. Music-driven Beatles ’64 was recognised for Outstanding Sound Mixing.

Other celebrated titles such as The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, The White Lotus, and Last Week Tonight With John Oliver added to JioHotstar’s impressive haul.

The streaming giant also marked the occasion with the release of a coffee table book showcasing its collection of Emmy-recognised titles, underlining its growing role as India’s largest hub for world-class dramas, comedies, documentaries, anime, and more.
