Oracle recently announced the launch of Fusion Agentic Applications, a new set of enterprise software tools designed to automate and execute business processes using coordinated artificial intelligence agents.
The applications are integrated into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and are designed to make and carry out decisions within business workflows by accessing enterprise data, policies, and approval structures in real time. According to the company, the system differs from AI assistants and add-ons by operating natively within transactional systems, enabling execution at scale with built-in governance.
Oracle said the applications consist of teams of specialized AI agents that can manage tasks, maintain shared context across processes, and continuously adjust actions based on changing conditions. The tools are intended to automate routine work while elevating exceptions that require human input.
The company introduced 22 applications targeting functions such as finance, human resources, supply chain, and customer experience. Examples include tools to support workforce scheduling and payroll management, supplier sourcing, sales growth initiatives, and cash collection processes.
Oracle stated that the applications run on its cloud infrastructure and are supported by Oracle AI Agent Studio, which allows organizations to build and manage AI-driven workflows. Analysts cited in the announcement said the approach could help organizations improve efficiency by integrating AI directly into enterprise systems while maintaining oversight and accountability.
