Mussoorie : A 10-day Punjabi food festival titled Punjab di Khushboo is scheduled to take place at Whistling Pines, an open-air venue in Mussoorie, from June 19 to 29, 2025. Organized by The Fern Brentwood Resort & Spa, the event aims to showcase traditional Punjabi cuisine and cultural elements.
According to the organizers, the festival will feature a rotating dinner buffet served daily from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Dishes include regional preparations such as Butter Chicken, Sarson da Saag, Amritsari Macchi, Chole Bhature, and Rajma, among others. Desserts like Jalebi, Phirni, and Gajar ka Halwa will also be offered.
Evening activities will begin with tea, games such as Tambola, and a lamp-lighting ceremony from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Beverage offers will follow from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Arindam Bahel, General Manager of The Fern Brentwood Resort, said the idea was to bring Punjabi cuisine to a wider audience in Mussoorie through a food-focused event that also offers opportunities for social interaction.
The menu will follow a day-wise format intended to reflect the culinary diversity of Punjab, featuring dishes such as Patiala Chicken, Mutton Beliram, Kunna Gosht, and Taftan. The event will also include live food stations and regional accompaniments such as chutneys and pickles.
The festival is open to both in-house guests and external visitors. Organizers stated that the initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to host regional food events in Mussoorie.
