Hyderabad: Mahindra University and Apollo Healthcare Academy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly launch bachelor’s programs in Allied Health Sciences.
The collaboration aims to address the shortage of allied health professionals by combining academic instruction with hands-on clinical training. Programs will cover specializations including anesthesia and operation theatre technology, medical laboratory technology, and cardiovascular technology.
The curriculum will follow guidelines from the National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Professionals (NCAHP) and will include clinical rotations at Apollo Hospitals and affiliated facilities, along with a final-year internship.
“This collaboration reflects our shared vision of producing highly skilled healthcare professionals,” said Dr. Yajulu Medury, vice chancellor of Mahindra University. He added that the initiative would integrate academic strengths with clinical expertise to prepare graduates to contribute immediately in healthcare settings.
Sivaramakrishnan Venkateswaran, chief executive officer of Apollo Knowledge, said the partnership would bridge the gap between classroom learning and hospital practice, equipping students for opportunities in India and abroad.
According to the institutions, students will have access to modern infrastructure, expert faculty, and research opportunities, as well as structured placement support through Apollo’s network.
The initiative seeks to prepare practice-ready graduates aligned with healthcare industry needs and contribute to global workforce development.
