New Delhi: Anthropic Chief Executive Officer Dario Amodei met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday to discuss the company’s plans to expand its artificial intelligence operations in India. The meeting focused on leveraging AI technology across sectors such as education, healthcare, and agriculture to support India’s development goals.

According to Anthropic, usage of its AI assistant, Claude, has increased fivefold since June, signaling rising global demand for its technology. The company aims to adapt its AI tools to benefit India’s population across diverse industries and communities.

The meeting underscores ongoing collaboration between the Indian government and global technology firms to advance AI-driven innovation for economic growth and social impact.
