Mumbai,Sportswear brand ASICS has announced the third year of its association with the Cognizant New Delhi Marathon (CNDM) 2026 and introduced the GEL-CUMULUS™ 28 running shoe as the featured product for the event.
ASICS is the official sports goods partner for the marathon, which is among India’s largest distance-running events. The company said the partnership is part of its efforts to engage with India’s running community and promote physical activity and wellbeing.
The GEL-CUMULUS™ 28 is positioned as an everyday performance running shoe for neutral runners. According to the company, the model includes FF BLAST™ MAX cushioning for energy return, PureGEL™ technology under the heel for shock absorption, an engineered mesh upper for breathability, and a FLUIDRIDE™ outsole designed for smooth transitions and traction. The shoe is intended for use during both training and competitive runs.
Alongside the footwear, ASICS also presented a race-day apparel range for the marathon, including performance apparel and accessories. The collection includes items such as shorts, tights, caps and socks, designed with features aimed at improving airflow and comfort during running.
Rajat Khurana, managing director of ASICS India and South Asia, said the partnership reflects the brand’s long-term focus on India’s growing running ecosystem and its emphasis on consistency, injury prevention and wellbeing among runners.
Nagaraj Adiga, chairman and managing director of NEB Sports Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., which organizes the event, said the association with ASICS supports the goal of delivering a professionally managed and inclusive marathon experience.
ASICS said it will also conduct runner-focused initiatives linked to the event, including community runs and training-related activities, as part of its engagement around the marathon.
