Automoto Launches Inspekt AI for Used-Car Inspection in India

BENGALURU— Automoto has introduced Inspekt AI, a vehicle inspection platform designed to provide buyer-focused assessments in India’s used-car market. The company said the tool is intended to address transparency and trust concerns in a sector valued at more than USD 36 billion and expected to grow significantly.

According to the announcement, India’s used-car segment now exceeds new-car sales but continues to face gaps in areas such as vehicle history, mechanical condition, and inspection standards. Automoto said existing platforms have improved the selling experience, while buyers remain underserved.

Inspekt AI combines AI-assisted diagnostics with expert evaluations to offer what the company describes as independent, platform-agnostic vehicle reports. Capabilities include damage and anomaly detection, mechanical and structural assessments, simplified risk summaries, and purchase recommendations. Automoto stated that its non-inventory model is intended to avoid conflicts of interest.

“From day one, Automoto was built to eliminate customer compromise,” said Sreeraj PV, Founder & CEO of Automoto. “With Inspekt AI, we’re bringing a neutral, AI-backed trust layer to the buyer something the market has needed for years. Our goal is simple: empower buyers with clarity, confidence, and control.”

Inspekt AI is available for bookings in Bengaluru. Automoto plans to expand the service to major metropolitan areas and is exploring partnerships with financial institutions, insurers, and mobility platforms for potential integration into underwriting and risk-assessment processes.
