Bar Code India (BCI) and Kaizen Institute India have announced a strategic partnership to provide consulting and implementation services aimed at supporting digital transformation in India’s manufacturing, retail, and logistics sectors.
The collaboration combines BCI’s supply chain and factory digitisation technologies with Kaizen Institute’s expertise in lean management and operational improvement. The agreement was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed by Vikas Wadhwa, chief operating officer at Bar Code India, and Vinod Grover, managing director of Kaizen Institute for India and South Asia.
The companies said the partnership will focus on integrating operational processes with digital tools such as Internet of Things (IoT) systems, RFID, automation and artificial intelligence-based analytics. The approach is intended to help manufacturers reduce operational inefficiencies, improve workflow and strengthen supply chain visibility.
The initiative comes as Indian manufacturers increase investments in digital technologies and automation as part of broader Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 efforts. However, many organizations face challenges translating technology investments into sustained operational improvements, according to the companies.
Ram Bhutani of Bar Code India said digital transformation initiatives are most effective when technology is combined with strong processes and organizational culture.
Vinod Grover of Kaizen Institute India said the partnership will enable companies to integrate people, processes and technology into a unified transformation framework designed to improve operational performance and build long-term capabilities.
The joint program aims to support businesses in areas such as operational efficiency, supply chain transparency, workforce capability development and sustainability initiatives.
