CloudTV Partners with Prasar Bharati’s WAVES OTT to Expand Access to Indian Cultural Content

Mumbai: CloudTV, India’s homegrown Smart TV operating system, has partnered with Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform, WAVES, to bring India’s public service broadcasting content to connected TV audiences across the country.

The collaboration will allow CloudTV’s more than 12 million users to access WAVES OTT’s extensive catalogue, featuring programming in over 20 languages across genres including news, entertainment, music, and cultural events. The platform combines archival content from Doordarshan and Akashvani with contemporary shows and digital originals.

Abhijeet Rajpurohit, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of CloudTV, said the partnership represents a milestone in expanding access to India’s cultural and creative content. “CloudTV is proud to power this digital bridge connecting nostalgia with innovation, heritage with technology, and the wisdom of the past with the imagination of the future,” he said.

CloudTV, developed by CloudWalker Streaming Technologies, powers Smart TVs from brands including Lloyd, Intex, Micromax, Croma, Sansui, Hyundai, and T-Series. WAVES OTT offers video, audio, live TV, radio, magazines, and podcasts, celebrating India’s linguistic and cultural diversity through its multi-genre programming.
