Da One Sports Partners Army Public School Janglot for Sports Programme

Da One Sports, founded by cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, has partnered with Army Public School, Janglot in Jammu and Kashmir to introduce a structured multi-sport development programme for students.

The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots sports education in the region by providing professional coaching and structured training pathways for young athletes. The programme will offer coaching in multiple sports including cricket, football, basketball, badminton, tennis and golf. It will also include strength and conditioning frameworks designed to support overall athletic development.

According to the announcement, the collaboration is intended to help students develop sporting skills alongside their academic education within the school environment. The programme will follow a long-term athlete development approach supported by scientific training methods and performance monitoring.

Shikhar Dhawan, chairman of Da One Group, said the initiative is aimed at creating opportunities for young athletes, particularly in regions such as Jammu and Kashmir where access to structured sports programmes can be limited. He added that the partnership with Army Public School Janglot could serve as a model for similar collaborations with other Army institutions across the country.

Anshita Gupta, chief executive officer of Da One Group, said the partnership reflects the organisation’s effort to expand structured sports development initiatives to new regions while supporting an ecosystem focused on discipline and performance.

Brigadier Tejender Choudhary, chairman of Army Public School Janglot, said the collaboration would help strengthen the school’s existing sports ecosystem by providing students with structured training and mentorship opportunities.

The programme, based at the school in Janglot, Jammu, is expected to benefit students from defence families and surrounding communities by expanding access to sports training and development opportunities.
