Honeywell, TCS Partner to Drive AI-Powered Autonomous Operations Across Buildings and Industries

Mumbai – Honeywell and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating the shift from traditional automation to enterprise-wide autonomous operations across buildings and industrial environments.

The partnership will combine Honeywell’s operational technology (OT) automation, control systems and AI-powered analytics expertise with TCS’ IT modernization, cloud, and consulting capabilities to help enterprises integrate their OT and IT ecosystems into a unified digital infrastructure.

The initiative seeks to enable real-time intelligence, predictive insights and autonomous process control, allowing building and industrial operators to optimize performance, improve safety and enhance operational efficiency.

Under the collaboration, Honeywell will leverage its Honeywell Forge platform — an IoT-based suite delivering AI-powered analytics, dashboards and cybersecurity capabilities — including Honeywell Forge for Industrials and Honeywell Forge for Buildings. TCS will support the creation of a unified digital foundation by integrating OT data streams into enterprise IT systems through cloud, AI and consulting frameworks.

The combined offering is designed to help organizations deploy AI-driven autonomous operations that can perceive, analyze, act and continuously learn — enabling faster decision-making and measurable business outcomes.

“Our customers run incredibly complex operations. Historically, OT and IT have been managed as separate domains,” said Ashish Modi, President, Honeywell India & Asia Pacific. “With advances in 5G connectivity, cloud computing and AI, we can now accelerate OT/IT convergence through a cohesive system. This is expected to help building and industrial customers operate with greater safety, efficiency and agility, while unlocking actionable insights from infrastructure data.”

For TCS, the collaboration strengthens its positioning in industrial digital transformation and intelligent automation.

“Our partnership with Honeywell is centered on helping enterprises unlock the benefits of autonomous workflows and redefine autonomy at scale,” said Anupam Singhal, President, Manufacturing Business Group, TCS. “By combining deep industry expertise with advanced digital and AI capabilities, we are enabling organizations to run more connected, efficient and sustainable operations.”

The initiative will also incorporate Honeywell’s OT cybersecurity solutions and AI-powered industrial technologies, aimed at improving asset uptime, workforce productivity and process resilience across key vertical sectors.

The offering will initially be rolled out to customers in India before expanding to global markets, including the United States and the Middle East.

The move comes amid growing enterprise demand for integrated digital infrastructures that can bridge the gap between shop-floor operations and enterprise IT systems. As industries increasingly adopt AI, cloud computing and connected devices, OT/IT convergence is emerging as a critical enabler of intelligent, data-driven operations.

With this collaboration, Honeywell and TCS aim to position themselves at the forefront of the transition toward autonomous enterprises, where operational processes are increasingly self-optimizing, predictive and interconnected.
