Mumbai — Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has launched an expanded range of high-performance masterbatches as part of its Specialty Chemicals portfolio.
The new offerings include CosmoWhite, a portfolio of white masterbatches for polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). Developed with high concentrations of titanium dioxide (TiO₂), the products are designed to deliver opacity, brightness, UV protection and thermal stability. According to the company, CosmoWhite is suited for applications such as BOPP films, blown films, extrusion coating, injection moulding, non-wovens, raffia and pail containers.
The company also introduced CosmoAdd, a complementary portfolio of additive masterbatches aimed at improving processing efficiency, durability and functionality in flexible packaging applications. Designed for BOPP, CPP and blown film segments, the range includes cavitating agents, antiblock additives, antistatic and slip additives, polymer processing aids including PFAS-free options, antioxidants, clarifiers, matt compounds and solutions for synthetic paper.
Raj Sharma, Business Head of Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, said the expanded portfolio reflects the company’s focus on specialty solutions tailored to polymer and packaging manufacturers.
The launch aligns with Cosmo First’s strategy to expand its Specialty Chemicals vertical, which was initiated in FY21 and operates alongside its specialty films business. The division focuses on research and development and is expanding its presence in external markets, the company said.
