Shree Cement Limited announced the appointment of Rachana Sharma as Head–Environment, strengthening its leadership team in environmental management and sustainability.
Sharma brings more than two decades of experience in environmental governance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives across the cement and infrastructure sectors. In her new role, she will oversee environmental strategies and compliance frameworks as the company advances its sustainability priorities.
Before joining Shree Cement, Sharma served as Head – Environment at JSW Cement, where she worked on environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives across the company’s operations.
Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director of Shree Cement, said the appointment aligns with the company’s focus on sustainability, including decarbonisation, resource efficiency, and environmental stewardship. He added that Sharma’s experience in environmental governance would support the company’s long-term sustainability objectives.
Commenting on her appointment, Sharma said she looks forward to contributing to the company’s environmental governance and compliance systems while supporting sustainability initiatives across its operations.
